About this deal

With the timeline creeping closer to the siege of Terra, and a time when all legions used anything they had on hand (including witchy mind bullets) to fight the enemy, i felt a little more at peace with building and using a librarian, mind you only for games set close to the siege of Terra time. With neither truly comprehending the rashness of their decision, or the reason for acting on it, they spent almost 16 months Terran standard, jumping from system to system to reach terra. They are cunning and ambitious, but they are very prideful and arrogant on the other side of the coin.

Galaxy in Flames is the Horus Heresy version of an over-the-top action movie, with an action-packed, page-turning read but little in the development of characters. Ben Counter’s Galaxy in Flames is the third act in the opening Horus Heresy Trilogy, and the end of the only three books so far to feature the Sons of Horus as the main cast. This was a key moment because we see these people who had fought, debated, and lived with each other fall to the other’s blades. Buried beneath the rubble of the parliament building, the last thing that Loken sees is the bombs falling towards him.The characters continuing to travel along their destined paths, and some of their rivalries coming to a fatal head were all just as fantastic as they were the last time I read this. However, Counter manages to deliver a satisfying conclusion to the last installment of the initial trilogy. Cassar realizes the truth after they ride out the virus strike and firestorm and attacks Turnet, pleading with Aruken to help him, but his insistence that the Emperor is a god alienates Aruken who does not believe and chooses ambition over friendship, shooting Cassar dead.

Loken was built up by Abnett and then McNeill to be a conflicted soul - tortured at the idea that his brothers are being taken over by the power of the warp; starting to hear 'the music of the spheres'; but here his character development was limited. Putting their own concerns aside, Garviel Loken and his loyal kinsmen lead their companies to the surface only to learn the full, horrifying truth, and the legendary war known as the Horus Heresy begins with the most foul act of betrayal imaginable. Suddenly boxed into a small room, they have a choice to stay and see what Horus has planned for the Rememberancers, or they can flee and try to get word to those who can do something about Horus's betrayal. So, Horus now being entirely evil, I have decided not to let that negativity mar my review of the third book. But it is also a story of heroism, bravery, and loyalty as the last of the Loyalist members of those soon to be infamous legions, fight for their Emperor and the ideals that they believe in.The final battle really seems that way, and there were really fun ideas here and there that would have made for an interesting movie. The goods do not need to be in their original packaging however in a sellable condition, and at your own cost and risk. Honour and pride had filled Artuas' heart the day he had been selected from the mass of noviates stationed in the training camps on Terra, to be elevated to full Astartes.
