About this deal

You guys are such a force for good and I am a passionate supporter of Indie booksellers, so I'm so happy this worked out well (I'd love to know how many books were sold if you have it to hand - it felt like quite a lot! Participating in a work-sponsored, team-building exercise on a Friday night is the last thing colleagues, Vincent, Jules, Sylvie and Sam, want to do. Plot: Suspenseful, gripping, fast-paced, dark, sinister, chilling, captivating, imaginative, fanatical, and entertaining. Today we will not only come across books with gripping stories, telling about the adventures that daredevils have been waiting for, but also those that give us access to knowledge about game construction including rules for Escape Room. When twelve-year-old Ami arrives at The Escape, she thinks it's just a game – the ultimate escape room with puzzles and challenges to beat before time runs out.

Hoewel het me heel leuk lijkt om het een keer mee te maken (natuurlijk niet net zo eng en onmogelijk als in de films), heb ik zelf dus nog nooit in een escape room gezeten. Whilst I appreciate the idea that lies at the heart of this book, I found the chapters somewhat confusing. She teams up with 4 other kids to try to find the Answer to solve the puzzle to get out of the game. I’m giving this book 3 stars strictly for entertainment value and for keeping me turning pages for the first third of the book. The story flips back and forth between them being trapped in the elevator and events leading up to this team building exercise.once you enter, you only have a limited time to solve the puzzles before time runs out and you are locked in forever! I would fully recommend this to any escape room afficionados and people who don't give up too easily. Participation is mandatory, however, so each of them dutifully arrives at the requested location, a remote office building in a shady part of town, right on schedule. Become Adam Parkinson, a young investigative journalist, and join his conspiracy-theorist friend Henry Fielding as they take on the diabolical Wexell Corporation.

Sara Hall, our main protagonist, is a newly minted MBA who supposedly was an incredible student with amazing recommendations from professors, those she had interned with, etc and yet she was having trouble finding a job. I'm about half way through it at the moment and the going is getting trickier - but there's such a sense of satisfaction when you work out individual elements and then see how they go together. I think it would have been improved by paying more attention to the details of the puzzles and sometimes by giving more obvious connections between clues. In het begin denk je nog dat The Escape wel leuk is, maar al snel komen de lezer en spelers erachter dat het misschien toch wel gevaarlijk is.This made for a fast read which had me captivated and turning the pages with a devilish grin on my face. Christopher grew up in Manchester where he spent most of his childhood in the local library dreaming up stories, but now lives in Gloucestershire where he spends most of his time in the local library dreaming up stories. And, I had even less interest in reading about a group of self centered, up and coming Wall Street finance executives, who were stuck in an elevator for a corporate team building event. Such a collection of puzzles does not have to base only on solving them, but some of these books also tell us a story, just like the scenario while playing in the Escape Room. The scenes in the lift were fun; especially when certain revelations came to light, and then there's the bonus situation, which added an extra layer of intensity to an already tense situation.
